A SENIOR figure in a long-established sea rescue charity has been recognised for more than 30 years of service.

Captain Lionel Hall, chairman of the operational committee at the Solent Sea Rescue Organisation, was thanked by Hampshire County Council Chairman, Councillor Colin Davidoviz, for his dedication to the life-saving service which covers Portsmouth Harbour. In the last 30 years the service has answered 9,000 callouts and helped more than 20,000 people.
