Seafront repairs completed for Easter

A section of Southsea seafront damaged by storms has been fully reopened in time for Easter.

Portsmouth City Council contractors have repaired the sea wall and promenade near the Pyramids Centre after part of it collapsed during storms shortly after Christmas last year.

A city council spokesman said: ‘Work to repair the damaged sea defences at Southsea seafront has now been completed and the promenade has re-opened in time for the Easter weekend as promised.’
