Seagull causes a flap in Poundland

Shoppers were left in a flap after a seagull flew into a Poundland, crashing into lights and signs as it tried to get out.

The bargain hunting bird was seen flying around the cut-price shop, repeatedly swooping up and down before settling on a heating vent.

Video footage, captured by filmmaker Ben Barton, shows it crashing into wires causing signs to fall down and sending feathers flying through the air.

It is thought the scavenger entered the shop in Folkestone, Kent, at around 3pm on Saturday, while trying to steal food from the shelves by the entrance.
