Seaside mural will be the final touch to Hayling Island play park

AFTER many months of planning, a mural is to be unveiled at a recently revamped play park.

The community group Play Parks 4 Hayling commissioned artist Keith K Hopewell to paint a mural incorporating Hayling’s seaside on to the wall at Mengham play park.

Students from Hayling College contributed ideas which will be incorporated into the painting by the artist with the help of South East Hampshire Community Outlooks

It will be officially unveiled by the Mayor of Havant, Leah Turner, on April 6 at 11am. Cllr Turner is a founding member of the fundraising team.

Their eventual aim is to raise enough money to refurbish all of the island’s play parks with up-to-date equipment for young people of all ages.
