Second weather warning issued for Portsmouth as strong winds forecast for region'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹

The Met Office has issued a second weather warning for parts of the UK, including the Portsmouth area, with strong winds expected over the coming days.

The weather warning, which is classed as yellow '“ the lowest of the three levels '“ means there is a chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs or through falling trees and branches.

But the Met Office has now issued a second yellow weather warning between 9am on Sunday and 9am on Monday.

Wind speeds of up to 45mph are expected as commuters head back to work after the weekend.

The warning covers the majority of England and all of Wales.

On the website the Met Office says: '˜Potential for another very windy spell across parts of the UK on Sunday and into early Monday.

'˜There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.'
