ALL three lanes of the M27 are currently closed because of an accident.

The motorway is closed on the M27 eastbound, between J11 for Fareham, and J12 for M275 (Portsmouth).

Reports say the road may remain shut until 4am tomorrow.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews from Fareham and three from Cosham – including the special equipments unit – at 9.33pm today.

The call came in as a road traffic collision, one car, with persons trapped.

One crew from Fareham, and one from Cosham, are still in attendance.
