TRAINS have been delayed from Fareham after a freight train caught fire this morning.

South West Trains have put on a replacement bus service between Fareham and Eastleigh after they were forced to shut down the power to the lines so the fire service could get to the train.

Services running between Fareham and Winchester can expect delays until at least 2pm today with trains unable to run through Eastleigh station both from Fareham and from Winchester.

Trains are able to run normally towards London through Eastleigh.

Services from Portsmouth Harbour towards London will need to travel via Netley and St Denys. Trains from Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour via Eastleigh are operating as normal.
