Shoeboxes to be donated

NEARLY 1,700 shoeboxes are set to change the lives of hundreds of children.

The Rotary Club of Fareham Meon, with the help of 22 schools has decorated 1,696 shoeboxes filled with gifts to be sent to children in Albania, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Zambia.

The total was another record-breaking figure for the group, with the boxes categorised by ages for underprivileged boys and girls from one-year-olds to 15-year-olds.
