Shout out for ex-gunners
I have just watched Sink the Bismarck for the umpteenth time and I am hoping there might be one or two ex-gunners out there who can assist.
When the 14in guns are being prepared for firing in the British ship, the gunner who is filmed loading the shells and cordite at the breech of the gun shouts after every movement.
He pulls a type of handbrake device which places the shell on to a curved shape before it is rammed into the breech.
He then calls something out.
Next he loads the cordite which is rammed in behind the shell and again shouts out.
Does anyone know what the gunner is saying?
