RUNNERS are being urged to raise money for Diabetes UK by joining in this year’s Bupa Great South Run.
There are around 361,240 people living with the condition in the south east, as well as 95,400 who are undiagnosed. Left untreated, diabetes can cause complications including stroke, heart disease and kidney failure. Runners who sign up for the October 28 event, will help Diabetes UK to support people with the condition. It is Bupa’s nominated charity for this year’s Great South Run held at Southsea.
