A GAS company is on the hunt for new apprentices

Southern Gas Networks (SGN) has launched its latest apprenticeship scheme.

Apprenticeship schemes are back in fashion, boosting economic growth as more young people than ever consider training schemes. With this in mind, SGN is looking to recruit 44 people for its apprenticeship programme, a blend of on-the-job experience and classroom-based training.

Apprentices are being sought from a number of locations across the south and south-east of England, including its Portsmouth depot.

SGN chief executive officer John Morea said: ‘It is an important step forward for our business and future workforce, as well as a boost for the economy as a whole.’

The closing date for application forms is June 29. Go to
