Southern Water launches project to improve water quality
TWO beaches will be part of a project to tackle sources of pollution.
Hill Head, near Fareham, and Stokes Bay, in Gosport, will be part of Southern Water’s Bathing Water Enhancement Programme. The scheme is looking to further improve the quality of water in the company’s area. David Tyler, environment strategy manager, said: ‘Customers have made it clear they want us to go above and beyond our statutory duties to help bathing waters meet basic standards, and do more to improve bathing water quality across the region.’
