FIREFIGHTERS were called out after a pile of rubbish was set alight on a pavement in Milton.

One crew from Southsea attended Pleasant Road at 6.40pm and extinguished the flames.

Crew manager Stu Damen said: ‘The incident involved a pile of rubbish, mostly made up of paper. It is not being treated as suspicious.’
