FIREFIGHTERS were called when a child accidentally locked himself in his parents’ car.

The boy’s parents raised the alarm after he got hold of their keys and activated the lock button.

The incident happened around 3.45pm on Saturday.

A Southsea fire crew were sent out to free the child from the car.

They broke into the vehicle by smashing one of its windows.

Firefighters say the boy was unharmed and returned safely to his parents.
