Two frozen food store managers are abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower to mark the
start of an annual charity week.

Rachel Stephenson, who works in Iceland in Portchester, and Lisa Lee, who works in the Cosham branch, have each paid £85 to do the challenge and are getting sponsors to raise as much money as possible.

The duo will be doing
the challenge on Saturday at 2pm.

Each year the company picks a different charity to sponsor.

Last year it was The Royal British Legion and this year it is supporting three charities – Wish Upon a Star, The Children’s Food Trust and the National Youth Advocacy Service.

Iceland charity week runs all next week when each store in the company comes up with ideas to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charities.

There will be events taking place in stores next week to raise money, including cake sales and raffles.
