The awards, organised by Attraction Tix, celebrate places around the world with the Empire State Building, London Zoo and Buckingham Palace vying for the Best Attraction in the World award.

Following a successful debut of the awards last year, the votes are now open for the public to choose their favourite nominees for 2016.

As well as the public votes, the judging panel consists of Simon Applebaum, managing director at AttractionTix.co.uk; Pippa Jacks the editor of TTG Magazine and travel bloggers Karen Beddow and Meg Jerrard.

Mr Applebaum said: ‘Last year was such a great success; we had people from all around the world eager to vote and support their favourite attractions.
