PORTSMOUTH’S Spinnaker Tower will be lit gold in support of children with cancer as darkness falls.
The tower is joining a host of buildings across the UK which are going gold on Tuesday in support of CLIC Sargent, a cancer charity for children and young people, and their families.
A spokesman said: ‘Cancer treatment for children is often gruelling and can start immediately, last as long as three years and take place many miles from home.
‘Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer, and of CLIC Sargent’s work supporting young cancer patients and their families.’
Other landmarks set to go gold include Blackpool Tower, SECC Hydro, Leeds Parkinson building and the National Theatre in London.
