A PAWNBROKERS company is holding a sponsored walk.

H&T Pawnbrokers, from Kingston Road, Portsmouth, is hosting the five-mile charity stroll around Portsmouth and Southsea.

It will raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

More than 40 walkers have already signed up to take part, including H&T staff and employees from the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The circular route will start at 10am, on May 18, from H&T Portsmouth in Kingston Road, and follow Lake Road, Commercial Road, Guildhall Walk, Gunwharf Quays and through Victoria Park.  

Jim Kneller, store manager at H&T Portsmouth, said: ‘We’ve picked a route that takes us through the busiest parts of Portsmouth and Southsea.

‘We hope this will raise awareness of our fundraising for this very worthwhile charity. Money raised will be split between Portsmouth and Southampton MNDA branches.’

Jim’s best friend was recently diagnosed with the disease and he will be leading the walk.

H&T is planning more events to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association throughout 2013 – including a static cycle race.
