Staff donate time to help good cause
VOLUNTEERS at a food bank were delighted after a firm cleaned up its base.
Staff from the Southern Co-operative took part in cleaning and clearing up a number of charity locations and public areas.
Portsmouth Food Bank was among those to benefit.
Gemma Lacey, director of sustainability and communications for the firm, which took part in a beach clean, said: ‘As a community-centric local co-operative, colleagues from all departments within The Southern Co-operative have been extremely keen to take part in the Big Co-op Clean.
‘It is a key part of our business ethos and our passion to help improve and benefit the communities within which we serve through a variety of different community activities.’
