A CHARITY is running pop-up information points as part of a week of campaigning about Parkinson’s.

Working Age Parkinson’s Portsmouth is running events between 10am and 4pm.

Volunteers will be manning a stall in Palmerston Road, in Southsea tomorrow, at the Mountbatten Centre on Friday and in Gosport High Street at the market on Saturday.

Organiser Andy Cuenca, whose wife has the condition, said: ‘People can appear drunk when they’re having tremors from the disease so it’s important to make people aware that someone who appears drunk might be having difficulty walking or holding themselves up due to the illness.

‘It’s changed our lives dramatically but it’s a case of making the most of what you can do and not letting it run your life.’
