Station caught on camera before reaching end of line
Buses and trains today courtesy of reader Chris Macarthur.
Theses photos were all taken in the 1960s, pictures I know will please all you transport buffs out there who often ask me to use more.
Chris rediscovered them all while sorting out a cupboard.
The photograph of the station shows the one at Newport, Isle of Wight, before the lines were closed at the end of 1966.
Chris says: ‘I remember going there with my father to see the steam trains before they vanished.’
