THERE is still time to buy a ticket and take part in a community lottery.
The first draw of the Gosport lottery is on September 8 and players have a chance to win a range of prizes including the £25,000 jackpot.
A total of 60p from every £1 ticket goes to charities and good causes in the town.
Thirty-five organisations have registered and almost 650 tickets have been sold.
Nicky Staveley, chief officer of Gosport Voluntary Action (GVA), said: ‘We are delighted to have found a sustainable way of supporting good causes in Gosport. This is an exciting new development.’
To buy tickets visit gosportcommunitylottery.co.uk or call (023) 9319 0222. GVA is running the lottery on behalf of Gosport Borough Council, with lottery firm Gatherwell.
