A supermarket in Waterlooville has begun work to support its selected charity of the year.

Sainsbury’s in Hambledon Road, Waterlooville will spend the year collecting funds and raising awareness of the Horndean charity Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal.

Store Manager Phil Bridgwater, kick-started the fundraising by welcoming representatives of the charity into the shop to talk to shoppers about the work they do and to walk around with collection buckets.

There was also a surprise visit from Disney’s Olaf from the hit film Frozen to meet all the younger shoppers.

Mr Bridgewater said: ‘We’re really looking forward to working with Hannah’s Holiday Homes over the next year and the team have some great ideas for fundraising.

‘We hope our support will make a real difference to the charity, and customer enjoy the variety of activities we are planning.’
