CLARENCE Pier has been shut to the public today due to the latest bout of poor weather.
The Southsea venue’s new Solent Wheel is also closed, but will be back open to the public from midday tomorrow.
Pier co-owner Jimmy Norman said work is being done today to clear up debris blown in from the sea caused by strong winds overnight.
He said: ‘The pier came through the night well, but obviously it’s too windy for the wheel to be open at the moment.
‘But we will be back open from 12pm tomorrow.’
The Pyramids Centre has also been closed and updates will follow.
