A YELLOW weather warning has been issued as strong winds and rain are expected to cause disruption.

The alert for Hampshire and West Sussex has been put out by the Met Office for today.

The counties could be hit by thunderstorms with the possibility of localised heavy downpours between 2am and 8pm 
today.

This may result in localised flooding which could cause problems on the roads in the morning and overnight.

Frequent lightning strikes could also pose a hazard.
