FAMILIES can get up close to the Christmas story as a live nativity returns to a church.

The annual event will take place at Holy Rood church, in Gosport Road, Stubbington on Saturday.

Families can see animals in the stable with Mary and Joseph before taking a tour to listen to the story, meeting angels, shepherds and wise men along the way. The church opens at 10am and it is free to enter.
