Stubbington gets ready for Christmas lights switch-on

MORE than 100 children will sing at the switch-on of Christmas lights in a village.

Tomorrow 120 youngsters from Crofton Hammond Infants and Crofton Anne Dale Infants will perform in Stubbington while mayor of Fareham Councillor Connie Hockley switches on the Christmas tree lights.

The event, starting at 4pm in the village centre, has been organised by Crofton Lions and Stubbington Traders. There will be a hog-roast, a pipe band and a kids fancy dress competition.

Ward councillor Chris Wood used his Hampshire County Council grant to pay for Christmas lights so the village has more than before.
