News reader Simon Evans captured this spectacular picture of a rainbow over Southsea Common.
He said: ‘I was taking a walk along Southsea seafront when it began to rain heavily so I took shelter underneath the balcony of Southsea rowing club.
‘When I looked across towards the entrance to the harbour I noticed that a rainbow was arching across the city skyline.
‘I headed over to the Common to get this image and fit the whole rainbow into the frame. It was worth getting wet for!
‘At one point the rainbow was a double rainbow, with the second rainbow more faint than the primary rainbow and with its colours inverted.’
Simon took the photograph just before midday on January 13.
