CRABBING kept kids entertained at a museum.

The Explosion! Museum, at Priddy’s Hard, Gosport, invited children to go crabbing at the camber for one of their summer activities.

With their bacon at the ready, the kids managed to catch about 200 crabs in the two-hour-long session.

For many of them, it was the first time they had tried catching crabs.

Phil Hazel, assistant visitor service officer, said: ‘We had a really good time.

‘It was great fun.

‘We had created a crab slide made out of plastic which made it more exciting when we returned them to the water.

‘It made it more fun for the kids and it was a great idea from our team to offer something new.

The museum houses navy fire power and has had a range of summer activities for families.

These include assault courses and crafts.

Phil said that the museum should be for families.

He added: ‘We want it to be a family place as well.’
