With handicaps ranging from 7 to 22, Petty Officer David Marshal, PO Kristian Hughes, PO Neil Dickinson and PO Matthew Somerville got stuck into the challenge, covering 23 miles on foot over the course of 15 hours.

Organiser Matthew said: ‘It’s a very relatable charity as most of the team have been affected by the disease in some way or another. Our colleagues have supported us with this challenge, from baking cakes to donating and promoting the event.’

The team raised more than £1,000.
