SHOPPERS in Clanfield are being urged to back a final push for a £10,000 charity windfall.
The Southern Co-operative is planning to donate up to £5,000 to Clanfield Scouts and a further £5,000 to the East Hampshire fundraising branch of Cancer Research.
But it needs one last push to reach the target before the end of March through its community support card scheme.
This is where a portion of the takings from groceries are donated to charity.
The 1st Clanfield Scout Group plans to use the funds to replace its minibus, which was destroyed by fire, as well as towards a new boxed trailer.
Doris Barden, from the scout group, said: ‘This trailer is desperately needed for transporting our camping gear and activity items to camp.
‘Both the minibus and trailer when purchased will be available for use by the community.’
