Last Saturday at Tammys One Stop Party Shop, it was once again thriving with new coffee loving friends, we drank and ate cake whilst raising money for Harbour Cancer Support Centre in Gosport.
Jane Kent who is dealing with Breast Cancer said: ‘Its been wonderful to go and talk to them sometimes about things I feel are insignificant but to me they are important and Harbour Cancer Support just seem to understand.
‘They have been a great help to myself and my children.’
Coffee was flowing from our new machine, which was donated by Kirsty Truman and lots of cakes were baked by Paul Talbot, who lost his wife Pat nearly one year ago to Cancer and Jane’s dad, Fred Ward from Bridgemary.
More than £140 was raised, lots of Carson the Crab key rings, magnets, pin badges and trolley tokens were sold, as well as raffles and blackouts run by Helen Davis and Shirley Money-Neave.
The Mayor of Gosport Keith Farr said: ‘Days like this wouldn’t be so successful without everyone pulling together.
‘There’s a great team here and I am always happy to come and support them.’
This week at Tammys One Stop Party Shop there is a Summer Show with Strawberry Dan, with a magic show, balloon modelling and candy floss. Tickets are just £3 for the event on August 26 at 1pm.

Friday 25 September will be Macmillans ‘Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning’ from 11am in memory of Pat White as we will be remembering her 1 year anniversary of when cancer took her from her family. Pat always did a big Coffee Morning for Macmillan so we will do this one for her.
