PEOPLE are being invited to take a guided walk through Fareham’s award-winning sensory garden.

The walk will take place tomorrow at 6.30pm in Osborn Road. An experienced horticulturist will highlight the fragrances and textures.

The price includes tea and cakes and all participants will receive their own fuchsia plant to take home courtesy of St Margaret’s Nurseries.

Executive member for leisure and community councillor Connie Hockley said: ‘Usually the short walk through the garden is self-guided with the aid of a guide book or audio guide, but this special event enhances the sensory experience as visitors will be accompanied by a horticulturist with knowledge of this semitropical sanctuary.

‘The Sensory Garden has retained its Green Flag Award for the fifth year running and is definitely worth a visit.’

Tickets cost £4. Call 01329 221342.
