Have your say

DITCH the car and take public transport, walk or cycle instead – that’s the message from Hampshire County Council.

The authority is encouraging residents to get fit and cut pollution by signing up to its My Journey travel pledge.

Those who take part will have the chace to win a bike worth £250 in a prize draw.

Executive member for economy, transport and environment, Councillor Seán Woodward, said: ‘We welcome every opportunity to reduce congestion on our roads to ensure that Hampshire continues to be a great place to live and work.

‘I would encourage everyone to consider how they travel, and think about making a pledge big or small.’
