Talk on Fishermania nursery rhyme tale in Emsworth

THE story about a superstar from the 1700s is the subject of a talk.

Bob France is returning to the Emsworth Maritime and Historical Trust to talk about the nursery rhyme Lucy Locket, which features the lines ‘Lucy Locket lost her pocket, Kitty Fisher found it’. Fisher was a celebrity in the 1760s and Fishermania swept London. The illustrated talk is in the Mountford Rooms, Emsworth Community Centre, North Street at 7.30pm on February 15.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £3 for non-trust members and £2 for members.
