A TAXI driver suffered serious head injuries in a collision with two other vehicles.
Havant Road into Hayling Island was closed for two hours following the crash at about 9.10am yesterday.
A Ford taxi, Land Rover and BMW were involved.
Crews from Havant fire station were first at the scene and gave first aid and oxygen to the crash victims before ensuring the road was safe to reopen.
Watch manager Tim Burgess said members of the public had managed to drag people from their vehicles before emergency services arrived.
Two motorists were taken to hospital, including a taxi driver who was in a serious condition.
Another two people at the scene were checked over but did not need further treatment.
Four ambulances were sent to assist.
