A TEACHER-student double act are celebrating after scooping two trophies at a streetdancing competition.

Joe Sadler, 20, and Leon Robertson, 13, pictured right, won their individual age group heats as well as the ‘pair’ category at the International Dance Teachers’ Association National Championships in Blackpool.

Joe, a former Portchester Community School student and Leon, who attends Ditcham Park School in Petersfield, raised £360 for cystic fibrosis charity on the eve of the competition with three gigs at local nightclubs.

Joe, who teaches 20 youngsters from the Portsmouth and Hampshire areas, said: ‘We are thrilled we did well in the competition.

‘Leon’s been my pupil for a year and a half and in that time he’s made huge progress in that time.

‘Streetdancing is challenging but the rewards are not just emotional – it also keeps you incredibly fit and healthy.’
