Tammy Kent talks about Tammy’s One Stop Shop winning funding at Decision Day, plus the events coming up at the shop

Well excitement has overflowed at Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop this week as we managed to secure £1,219 from the You Decide event held at The Thorngate Halls, where Gosport residents aged 10 and over voted for their favourite good causes.

There were about 100 Gosport residents there all with the good intentions to spend £10,000 and support their favourite good causes.

There were six happy winners out of 14 good causes, including Motiv8, Breakthrough Youth Club, Soccercise from Gosport Football Club, Moving On Project, Loud & Proud as well as Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop.

We have been very lucky to firstly have such a great room and also to have such a great group of volunteers and helpers every step of the way!

Vicky Nicholas the owner of Rosie’s Kitchen has been so helpful and supportive and loves everything that happens at Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop – from the half-term activities to the charity coffee mornings.

The money will be spent on various helpful things to finish the room off and make it even more special than it is already.

These include a Hoover and cleaning products, storage for teacups, tea and coffee and children’s toys/craft items, a nice new urn so we can continue to run plenty of coffee mornings safely, a few decorations, leaflets and a nice uniform for all helpers!

I would really like to thank everyone who voted for Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop.

We will continue to do everything we can helping our local charities.

Upcoming events at Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop include a Remembrance Day sale with Claire Parsons on November 11, from 10am-2pm with a two-minute silence at 11am. Poppies will be on sale as well as tea, coffee and cake.

Natalie Rance will be teaching us how to make angel pillows on Wednesday, November 4.

You must book in advance for this event and you will need to bring an item of your loved one’s clothing to be made into a pillow. It costs £15 per person.

MP for Gosport Caroline Dineage will be joining Alicia Pannell at her festive coffee morning on December 4 from 10am.

Don’t forget to pop along and see the two separate wrestlers Kris Kay and Flatliner this Saturday at Thorngate Hall from 4pm.
