BRAVE revellers walked on burning coals at a Halloween party in aid of local charity Kids.
The 21 participants stepped onto a bed of hot coals at the family event in Alverbank Hotel, Stokes Bay, Gosport, in honour of the pagan celebration.
There was also traditional pastimes for the kids to get involved in, including apple bobbing, a children’s tombola, face painting and pumpkin carving.
Jo Moxham was among those who took to the embers.
The 39-year-old of Sapphire Close, Gosport said: ‘It was a fantastic experience. It was hot on the feet at times but it didn’t feel like it was burning and my feet don’t feel like they have any blisters coming up.
‘I thought it was going to be a lot hotter, so that was surprising. But it was a fanatic way to spend Halloween and raise money for charity at the same time.’
All funds generated from the party will be donated to Kids to help the charity run its services from the Kids Family Centre in Salterns Lane, Fareham.
Organiser Kitty McMonagle, from the charity, said: ‘It was a lovely night. Everyone had a lot of fun and the activities were a great success.’
