A 12-YEAR-OLD boy is swimming for hours to raise money for charity.

Theo Rogers, from Waterlooville, will swim for three hours to raise money for Children in Need.

This Saturday, the Portsmouth Grammar School pupil will cover around three miles at Waterlooville Leisure Centre.

His mum, Melanie, said: ‘Theo wanted to do something this year to raise money for charity.

‘Last year, he ran the junior race in the Great South Run but decided to do something different.

‘He is a member of the Havant and Waterlooville Swim Club so I think he will be able to do it.’

She added: ‘He will probably swim around 192 lengths.’

The swim will start at 7.30am.
