Two shop dummies at Keydell Nurseries in Horndean, Waterloovillle, have been dressed to look like Anna and Elsa, the princesses from the Disney movie Frozen.

However, they have been left bald after the blonde and brown wigs went missing this week.

Writing on its Facebook page, the centre says that the thieves have now opened up ‘a new beginning for raising awareness and pennies’.

Staff at the centre have listened to feedback from their customers to keep the display as it is in aid of a children’s cancer charity.

They added: ‘Although we are cross that someone had stolen them, we have listened to comments and will be changing the display into a positive one.’

Keydell Nurseries, in Havant Road, has become renowned for hosting one of the biggest festive shops and in the south.

The centre’s Christmas showroom, which will remain open until mid-January, attracts thousands of customers each year. It has also become a hotspot for family fun through its woodland walk activities and meet-and-greets with Father Christmas.

Hampshire police say that they have not yet received any recent reports of theft at the garden centre or in the surrounding vicinity.

Keydell Nurseries was unavailable for comment.
