FIREFIGHTERS rescued three people from a car that had crashed in Petersfield.

The accident happened at 10.20pm yesterday on the A3(M) southbound.

The car had overturned and crashed into a ditch.

Two appliances from Petersfield fire station attended as well as a Special Equipment Unit and support pumps from Cosham.

Paramedics treated the three people at the scene who were then all taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for treatment.
