A MAN was cut out of his van after an accident on the A27.

The crash involved a Ford Transit van and a Fiat Panda and happened near to the sliproad that joins the A3(M) to the A27 eastbound at Havant.

Emergency services were called at about 6pm yesterday.

Two people were in the van and firefighters from Cosham fire station used cutting tools to rescue a man from the wreckage.

The driver of the Fiat was not seriously hurt.

Firefighters described it as a ‘hard shunt’. The three casualties were taken to hospital for treatment.
