THOUSANDS of tickets to a football match are being given away as part of a sponsorship promotion.
It follows Gosport Borough FC signing up to a partnership with telecommunications service provider Aerial Direct, which is based in the town.
The firm is giving away 3,000 tickets to a game on Saturday between Gosport Borough FC and Chelmsford City at Gosport’s Aerial Direct Stadium, formerly Privett Park.
Aerial Direct marketing manager, Richard Harper, said he was looking forward to the ‘community day’.
Mr Harper said he hoped to see thousands of Gosport people to go along and enjoy the football.
He said he hoped the success the company has had will rub off on the football club, and that Gosport fans could look forward to a few good goals being scored on Saturday.
Mr Harper said: ‘We have been fully committed to this partnership since day one and the Aerial Direct Community Day is another way for us to share our success with the club and local area.
‘We hope that with our continued support the Boro’ will enjoy the same success on the pitch, and what better way than to give as many people as possible the chance to come down and cheer the team on.’
The company is giving away the tickets to individuals on a first-come, first-served basis.
The tickets are also being given away to schools, Scout groups, Gosport Borough’s youth teams, armed forces and voluntary groups.
To register for free tickets, e-mail either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is no limit to the number of tickets you can request.
Once you have a ticket you will need to validate it by writing your name and email address in the space provided and on match day hand the whole ticket over at the turnstile. The National League South game is scheduled to start at 3pm.
Gosport have won two out of their past four games against Chelmsford City.
