THERE are still tickets left for a dinner and dance evening which will raise money for an armed forces charity.

A plea for a final push of ticket sales has been issued by the organiser of The Heroes Dinner, which is being held at the Marriott Hotel, Southampton Road.

Entertainment for the event, which starts at 7pm, includes guest speakers, live music, a three-course meal and a raffle.

Money raised will be donated to Help for Heroes.

Organiser Clair Payne said: ‘We’re all set to go and we still have some remaining tickets for this event.

‘It’s going to be a super night and it’s open to all.

‘I really hope that in this last week we can push those final tickets.

‘People do not have to be concerned about coming with huge amounts of money, this has always been an event for everyone to come to.’

A host of entertainment has been lined up. Adventurer Ian Couch, an ex-army officer turned professional adventurer, will be speaking after dinner to share his experiences.

Guests from Band of Brothers – a branch of the charity that supports wounded servicemen – will be there.

Raffle prizes include a week’s stay in a Cornish cottage, a Solent sailing trip for six people and spa breaks.

Music will be performed by nine-piece band Star.

Tickets cost £50. To find out more contact Clair on 07986 681324 or email
