Appeal for help after Gosport biker dies in A32 crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash on the A32 this morning.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The motorcycle, which was travelling northbound, collided with a central reservation island and the male motorcyclist ended up lying in the road, where he was struck by a lorry.

‘Despite receiving treatment at the scene from paramedics, sadly the 25-year-old motorcyclist, from Gosport, died having suffered serious injuries.’

The road was closed until 12.30pm to allow for officers to carry out investigations into the exact circumstances of the incident.

They are now appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident or the Suzuki 250 motorcycle prior to the crash.

Those with information is asked to call the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit on 101, quoting Operation Honeydew, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
