Body on beach confirmed as man, 64, from Fareham
POLICE say they have passed a file to the coroner after a body was discovered on a beach.
Contractors working at Meon Shore, Hill Head, Fareham, found the body, which police have now confirmed was that of a 64-year-old man from Fareham. They say his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The discovery was made as contractors arrived to begin work on the sea wall defences at 9am on Monday morning.
The matter is now in the hands of the coroner who will announce the date of the inquest in due course.
