Bonfire blaze burns out of control in Fareham
A fire crew from Fareham, supported by a water carrying truck, attended the incident, in Peak Lane, last night.
A spokesman for the fire service said a bonfire had been ignited but was blazing out of control, with flames ‘as high as the house’, when they arrived at 9pm.

Hide AdCrews used a hose reel to quell the flames before leaving at 9.45pm.
Elsewhere, firefighters in Southsea were called to deal with an incident by a railway line last night.
A small fire had ignited in vegetation near the railway tracks by Copnor bridge.
One crew from Southsea attended and used a high-pressure water hose to extinguish the flames.
The incident did not disrupt any rail services, a spokesman from the station said.
