Delays after crashes on A3M and A27
Drivers faced diversions on the A3M today after an exit slip road was shut following a crash.
A Vauxhall car crashed into the central reservation at about 5.45am.
Police and ambulances were at the scene within minutes and had to close off the area and move the wreckage to the slip road.
Traffic was diverted off at Junction 3, with motorists being advised to take the B2150 and re-join A3M at Junction 4.
A police spokeswoman said: ‘The driver was treated by ambulance and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital.’
The driver’s injuries were not known.
Police kept the slip road closed until after 9am while they carried out a crash investigation.
Meanwhile, rush hour traffic was also held up after a crash on the A27 at about 7.30am.
Two cars were in collision near the Farlington junction.
The cars were able to pull over to the hard shoulder and no-one was hurt.
