Driver taken to hospital after three-car crash in Portsmouth

A driver has been taking to hospital this morning after three cars collided in Portsmouth.

Emergency services have been at the scene on Laburnum Grove, Copnor, after a number of 999 calls just after 9am.

South Central Ambulance Service said a driver, a 40-year-old man, was injured and had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters.

His injuries are not serious, but he was taken to the QA Hospital for more treatment. 

Firefighters from Cosham and Southsea fire stations have been making the scene safe while police divert motorists.

Delays in the area are expected.Â
